FLEXIBLE
CRANIOTOME FOOTPLATE
The present invention provides an improvement for a craniotome footplate. It consists of an elastomeric flexible extension which extends forwardly. This strips the dura intact from the under surface the skull and reduces tearing and avoids the necessity of suturing torn dura, thereby saving considerable surgical time and complications such as cerebrospinal fluid leakage and hemorrhage.
