PNEUMATIC SEPARATOR STRUCTURE
Embryologists and anatomists in their studies of the formation and evaluation of animals and humans have identified the existence of natural cleavage planes between cells, tissues and organs. These planes are maintained and accessible in various disease states as well. For the surgeon, the observations present an available opportunity for avascular and atraumatic dissection through separation rather then incision. A fine, pin-sized orientable inert gas jet manipulated in the surgeon's hand provides the means to identify these planes and thus to replace dissection techniques requiring scissors and scalpel. |
